The Biggest Disappointment With Loosing Weight

BigMenace As you all know I have decided to attempt a weight loss program. I have written about using Weight Watchers, but I was not very serious with the program and it did not work for me. The biggest problem with Weight Watchers is keeping track of the points. Keeping up with points is a little difficult for a person who supervises other people all day for 12 hours a day. I am usually able to get some opportunities to track a few points here or there, but lately I have had to really push myself.
Weight Watchers allows you to track your progress every week to see how one is progressing with the weight loss program. You are not required, but urged to weigh yourself once a week. The day that I have chosen to weigh myself is Sunday mornings. Now I have to admit that I have been averaging one pound a week in weight loss. Losing one to two pounds a week is right on track with where the nutritionists and physicians want to see, but the most disappointing thing out of it all is... Looking in the mirror. Even though I have been loosing weight for the past month, I still see buffalo butt sitting in front of the mirror when I am dressing for work in the mornings. I know that a change that is visible is much further down the line, but sometimes you just want to give up from the thought of having no visible weight loss. So what do I do about my disappointment?
I shrug it off! As long as the scale says that my weight is trending downward I am just fine. Not seeing a visible difference has nothing to do with the fact that there is a statistical weight difference. And...If I stick with the diet, I will see a visible difference in time. If I continuously work at losing one pound a month I can have lost forty-eight or more pounds in one years time. I just have to stick with the program, be patient, and persevere. Has anyone else struggled to stay on a weight loss program because there was not immediate physical difference to be seen.
