When I think about the negative aspects of religion I think about the movie that was just released starring Denzel Washington, The Book of Eli. In The Book of Eli, Washington's character works to deliver a book (The Holy Bible) to a certain destination. Along the way, he is hunted by another character who desparately desires to own the book in order to control the people in a post apocalyptic world. The people could easily be controlled because of the lack of knowledge in the subject matter.

I think about the same things when I read the daily news and see that a one year child has died from hunger because he was refused a meal because he did not say "Amen" during a mealtime prayer.

Another US Terror Suspect Captured and She is a Female

I do know why some Americans have actually sympathized with radical Muslims and actually become a part of their organization. It is just baffling to even ponder what these people are thinking when they decide to conduct terrorist acts against others. This time around authorities have captured a woman who describes herself to be blond with greens who has been allegedly attempting to organize a terrorist cell or her own in order to support the efforts of the other groups. This woman has reportedly travel to Europe to meet other terrorist and conduct operations. She ultimately traveled back to the United States because she did not believe that the group that she had gathered was serious enough.

Iron Man 2 Who's Interested?

Well, Marvel has its chips down on the new Iron Man 2 movie that will release this summer. The sequel to the previous blockbuster hit is sure to pull the fans, but will it deliver on the actual movie goodness? The sequel to Michael Bay's hit Transformers was a total disappointment to many. Let's hope that Marvel, along with Paramount Pictures will release a much better movie sequel than Transformers 2. The movie trailers is after the break.

Maryland Lawmaker Fights to Deliver State from the Dark Ages

Cartoons such as the Simpsons and maybe Family Guy often make fun of families that are formed out of incest. Most people don't believe that the act of marrying family members still exist. Well, the good people in the state of Maryland still believe in marrying first cousins; so on lawmaker has stepped up to ban the the state right to marry a first cousin. The lawmakers states that it is time for people to stop playing the genetics game with their offspring. Incestuous relationships are believe to often spawn offspring with birth defects. This one lawmaker is a former special education teacher who is apparently fed up with it all. Here I thought that every state has moved out of the dark ages.

Employee Caught Spitting In Customer's Food

Any teenager who was not fortunate enough to land his/her first job in the mall or a retail store usually ends up in fast food. I was one of those fortunate ones to start my part-time career at the age of fifteen. During my short time at McDonald's I have seen many things take place, but I have never seen anyone actually spit in anyone's food. Spitting in someone else's food is such a horrible, and evil act. No matter how mad a patron made me, I never considered spitting in their food.

Glenn Goodwin, a truck driver from Cleveland Ohio visited a Burger King in November 2008 where he allegedly witnessed what seemed to be an employee spitting in his food while a second employee attempts to stand in the way so that no one is able to see the act taking place. Goodwin had the local authorities to check out the food, and the officers, according to the article detected traces of saliva in the food. Burger King has not received a federal summons yet, but rest assured that this case could heat up since the employee in question is white and Mr. Goodwin is black. The police department has not been available for comment.

Of, course the married person in the relationship has more to lose than the other person unless the relationship is between two married people. Upon learning that my wife was expecting our child, I didn’t take things too seriously at first. You know, people have children everyday, and they make it look easy. For the first three months, I just coasted through the situation as my wife talked and talked about making plans for this or that. Having a typical male attitude, I just took everything in stride thinking that I would worry about things when it is time to worry. Then, my wife hit the four month mark, which is sonogram time. Seeing the baby on that screen began to make becoming a parent very real now.
