In The Book of Eli, Washington's character works to deliver a book (The Holy Bible) to a certain destination. Along the way, he is hunted by another character who desparately desires to own the book in order to control the people in a post apocalyptic world. The people could easily be controlled because of the lack of knowledge in the subject matter.

I think about the same things when I read the daily news and see that a one year child has died from hunger because he was refused a meal because he did not say "Amen" during a mealtime prayer.

She ultimately traveled back to the United States because she did not believe that the group that she had gathered was serious enough.

Glenn Goodwin, a truck driver from Cleveland Ohio visited a Burger King in November 2008 where he allegedly witnessed what seemed to be an employee spitting in his food while a second employee attempts to stand in the way so that no one is able to see the act taking place. Goodwin had the local authorities to check out the food, and the officers, according to the article detected traces of saliva in the food. Burger King has not received a federal summons yet, but rest assured that this case could heat up since the employee in question is white and Mr. Goodwin is black. The police department has not been available for comment.
