Maryland Lawmaker Fights to Deliver State from the Dark Ages

Cartoons such as the Simpsons and maybe Family Guy often make fun of families that are formed out of incest. Most people don't believe that the act of marrying family members still exist. Well, the good people in the state of Maryland still believe in marrying first cousins; so on lawmaker has stepped up to ban the the state right to marry a first cousin. The lawmakers states that it is time for people to stop playing the genetics game with their offspring. Incestuous relationships are believe to often spawn offspring with birth defects. This one lawmaker is a former special education teacher who is apparently fed up with it all. Here I thought that every state has moved out of the dark ages.
