T-Mobile has begun sending out invitations for a private, press and special persons only, press release, event, thingie for the upcoming release of the HTC HD2 mobile phone. Sure this phone has a lot of muscle under the hood, but the question is will this phone get much attention? The HD2 will be released sporting the Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. Microsoft has not given anyone a definite answer as to whether or not user will have the capability to upgrade the phone to the Windows 7 Phone OS. Anyone who has purchased a Windows Mobile Phone and hated it moved on to other devices knows that this phone will not be worth the price of admission without an upgrade nod from Microsoft. T-Mobile should have a few closed doors discussion about this situation with Microsoft unless some type of financial exchange hasn't already occurred that compensates T-Mobile for their loss in sales. Who would really buy this phone with the Windows 7 Phone release is scheduled for this holiday season?

Engadget has confirmed the the HTC HD2 will not be upgraded to the Windows 7 Series software, make the phone a totally useless and pointless piece of hardware for me. This phone could be awesome, but I am only interested in the new OS for Windows Mobile phone. Is anyone out there going to purchase the HD2 from T-Mobile or any other company offering the phone?
