73 Year Risks All, Robs Three Banks To Save His Home

What happens when your business goes belly up, your are getting low on available cash to pay your mortgage, and you feel like you have completely run out of options for keeping a roof over your family's head? Is this the time to go and rob some banks? They have the money anyway, spending all of that bailout money on bonuses for the corporate officer. They won't miss a few hundred dollars, and it is okay if I pay them back when my situation gets better. That's what 73 year old James Bruce from Tampa, Florida was thinking when he robbed three banks over the span of a few weeks.

James Bruce was recognized by a neighbor who then informed the police department of Bruce's whereabouts.

"I said 'oh my gosh, I know who he is. I know where he lives,'" the stunned neighbor said.

Bruce is being held on a $22,000 dollar bond. This story just goes to show that this economy is putting to squeeze on everyone. And our friend on capital hill are busy fighting each while the little people are suffering. This doesn't change the fact that Bruce committed a felony, but getting arrested is not the best way to keep a roof over your family's head. I know that these times are rough, but we don't need to resort to the extreme measures here. They cause more problems and rarely provides a solution for that person.
