Dating: The Two Faces Of Men

This past weekend, my wife and I decided to take a little trip to Austin, Texas to enjoy the city instead of just passing through. On Saturday night, some friends suggested that we take in the sites at the downtown area of Austin, namely 6th street. This area is just full of bars, restaurants, and other social activities. My wife and I saw women with many different styles of clothing as we walked down the street. A lot of the outfits were very short on the bottom, or low cut on the top if you know what I mean. I did not comment on the different outfits, because I am not dumb enough to make such a mistake in the presence of my wife. Instead I waited until she commented about the outfits that a lot of the women were wearing, or lack thereof.

 Talking with my wife that night made me think about how men actually view women. Men are such visual creatures when it comes to women. Women are literally judged and treated by their appearances. It’s a little shameful to admit but it is true. I sometimes over hear conversations that my wife has with her friends about not being able to find the right man, or the guy doesn’t seem to be as open with his feelings. The real question is, which side (face) of the man did she get when she met him? Okay so let’s talk about the two faces of men.

 First Face: Sexual Hunter

 The Sexual Hunter only comes out to play when most men are visually stimulated, unless, the man was on a hunt for sex to begin with. The hunter usually comes out when the skirts are short and the cleavage is plentiful. When a male encounters a woman that is wearing extremely revealing clothes, his first thought is going to be on seeing the woman in her birthday suit or he figuring what he’s going to have to do the get the woman in her birthday suit. At this point the gentleman is no longer interested in who you are, your interests, what make you who you are, or where you are from. He just wants to know if he can see more of that bare skin. He will pretend to be listening to you, and he will buy you a few drinks to loosen your tongue just enough to introduce sex into your conversation without alarming you. He will hang around long enough to get what he wants, and then he will be off to the next target when he has had his fill.

 Second Face: The “Very Interested” Gentleman

 Women who are a little more conservative with what they wear, but still manage to keep it sexy and glamorous will get the man who wants to know more about this woman. The gentleman knows, by the way that the woman is dressed,  not to approach her in a sexual manner unless he wants to get written off without a chance to get closer to this female treasure. When the gentleman is attracted, he wants to know everything about you. He wants to know what makes you happy, what makes you sad, your interests, and he will let you talk all night long (don’t do that, let him talk a little) so long as he can just remain captivated in her presence. The gentleman will even take note of the different fragrances that a woman wears, and he can tell where she has been by her scent alone. Yes, men can actually do that. It brings that all men are dogs saying to the forefront of my thoughts, but in a positive way.

 Now, ladies, it is up to you to decide which type of man that you would want to approach you. I am laughing right now, because I can actually hear someone saying, “How come I can’t just wear what I want to wear?” I know that you are out there, and that person is right to some degree, but men are men. Your chances of snagging a man who is genuinely interested in you are greater when there are mysteries to unravel. Here is another way to think of the situation. Let’s say that a department store has a sale on a few outfits in which there is a bountiful supply. A person that notices several people buying that same outfit that is on sale would probably pay a little more money to purchase a different outfit that is not on sale because it is different. This is the key to attracting a good man. The woman that is sexy and sophisticated will stand out in a club full of women who are wearing revealing clothes. These are the women that will be introduced to the family. The others are just something to something to play with.
