Watch Your Children and Keep Them Safe

BigMenace The other day the local new station reported on a story where several people were injured when an unknown assailant fired a gun into a crowd of people early in the morning outside of a nightclub. The news reporters singled out a fifteen year old girl who was hit in the leg by the bullet after the bullet has passed through a friend who was near her. I was saddened to see that her mother had to talk about her teenaged daughter was injured at 1AM in the morning at a nightclub. The mother of the child looked extremely embarrassed while telling the news that she works the night shift and discovered that her child was injured during the incident. I don’t have anything bad to say about the mother. I am sure that she is doing the best that she can to keep a roof over her family’s head. None the less, we must take great strides to speak with our children about the importance of obeying curfews and house rules. This young would not have been harmed if she were where she was supposed to be, and that is in her home. There is no way that this young lady should have been explaining how she was shot at a nightclub. Don’t be in a rush to grow up and do adult things. There are perks and privileges that come with being a kid that adults long to have.
