The Flavor Profile has been out of commission for a very long time. Partly because of a commitment to finishing a culinary arts program. Now that I have completed the course, it is time, as my head instructor puts it, to continue the learning process. And We Are Back!

Hello all,

We are very sorry that we have not posted in a such a very long time, but sometimes life just deals you a hand that forces a person to put other activities to the side to focus on priorities. Now that those priorities have been taken care of, at least for now, we are ready to get back into the saddle and work on building this community. We hope that you all will stick around, or just come back for that matter.

Restrictive Parents May Cause Child Weight Gain?

Last week MSNBC posted and article about parents who are very conservative when it comes to the typed of food that are allowed in the house. Researchers from the Center for Childhood Obesity Research are saying that children of parents who are very restrict typically gain weight because they are more apt to eat the forbidden foods when they are older. Researchers recommended that parents should find a balance instead of restricting certain foods, educate the kids about proper health, abandon the “clean your plate” practice, and be good role models. Weight Watchers Week: ???? I Don't Really  Know

This week I do not have a clue as to which Weight Watchers week that I am currently in. I believe that this is week 9 going into week 10. I must say that this past week has been excellent. I have taken back the pounds that I lost, gained, lost, and gained again. My new secret is that I have decided to visit the gym first thing in the morning before I get to work.

Weight Watchers Week 9: Getting My Cravings Under Control

At the beginning of this week, I lost one pound which is not totally awesome, but it is a step in the right direction once again. I have had major problems getting my appetite under control. I am just fine getting into a a routine of making healthy choices during the week.
